Luciano De Cecco (born June 02, 1988 in Santa Fé, Argentina) is a argentinean volleyball player who plays for the Pallavolo Gabeca in the Italian Serie A1 and the Argentina national team.

Career

Clubs

His career started at a local club, Gimnasia y Esgrima de Santa Fe. For the 2006/2007 season he played for Drean Bolivar winning the national championship. In 2007 De Cecco moved to Italy and played for three seasons with Pallavolo Gabeca[1].

Back in his country, he played for club Belgrano de Córdoba[2]. Participating in the 2008/2009 with Italian A2 division club, Latina Volley Club, won the Cup and helped the team get into A1 division. For the 2009 season, he signed with russian club Dinamo-Ámbar [3].

For the 2011 season, he returned to his italian team, Pallavolo Gabeca.

National team

He was first called to participate in the national team for the 2006 World League, thou he did not play in any of the matches. [4]. He started participating in the matches since that same year's 2006 World Championship. He became the starting setter after 2007.

In 2011, playing with his national team, won the Best Setter award in both the World League and the World Cup.
